Together with in-lite we were faced with a major challenge: to make the innovative and smart garden lighting work together seamlessly. The result? A user-friendly native application combined with an innovative Bluetooth Mesh network. This allows users to control all garden lighting with just one touch of a button. The app makes it easy to create and manage different light settings, bringing any garden to life in an instant.
Each garden light is part of a mesh network via Bluetooth, which connects them all to each other and to the transformer. The app connects to the transformer via Bluetooth, which then forwards all commands to the lights via the smart mesh network. The advantage of a Bluetooth mesh network is that it is extremely stable and reliable.
The Internet of Things is one of the bigger app trends at the moment, but in-lite is where it really comes into its own. The connected app offers a new level of ease of use for garden lighting and sets the standard for the next 10 years.

To connect all the lights, we wrote a custom API and implemented the Bluetooth protocol ourselves. Thanks to this Bluetooth Mesh network, all smart lights communicate with each other, allowing users to control their lights anytime, anywhere, without Bluetooth range limitations. The routines and motion sensors provide a smart and sustainable way of garden management. With in-lite Scenes users can easily save their settings for any gardening moment.
The challenge here was bundling all the commands that are sent to the lights. Since a garden often contains multiple smart lights, sending all the commands at the same time would overload the network. That is why we developed a system where the commands are sent in groups. Recognizing successful commands and crossing them off the list was also a challenge, which we successfully overcame.
In addition, the system is integrated with HomeKit en Google Home, further increasing compatibility and usability. In addition, we have now added support for RGB lights, allowing users to customize their garden lighting even more personally and versatilely.
