Living in a student house is amazing, but everyone recognizes one major problem: cleaning. Not every student has the discipline or experience to maintain a clean home. Paper schedules aren't a sustainable solution; they aren’t accessible everywhere and constantly need to be recreated. Our dream is to make this process effortless.
Meet Swabber, the fairest and simplest (cleaning) schedule app for student houses. Swabber distributes cleaning tasks equally among housemates, taking past history into account. This ensures everyone contributes exactly the same amount to keeping the house clean. Swabber’s goal is to replace paper cleaning schedules in every student home.
Since the start of development, we have gathered extensive user feedback. With every new version, Coffee IT has listened to its users by bundling and implementing their insights. As one of the first apps both conceived and developed by Coffee IT, the evolution of Swabber directly reflects the growth of our agency.

Swabber was built to scale effortlessly with its user base in real-time. This is crucial for a B2C app, where user numbers constantly fluctuate due to localized growth or viral trends. By developing Swabber’s servers with scalability at their core, the system ensures optimal performance during peak times while reducing server costs by scaling down during quieter periods. This ensures our users always receive the best possible experience.
Market research confirmed that many students were facing the exact same problem. The demand for the scheduling app was further validated by a rapid surge in downloads shortly after launch. And the numbers speak for themselves!

Focusing on the end-user is a vital principle for app developers like Coffee IT, and for Swabber, this was even more critical. As a B2C app, the end-user is the direct customer. For this reason, many features were born directly from user feedback. An example of this is the option to schedule tasks on a daily basis. Our users also expressed a need for a more prominent view of the full schedule, a request we were happy to implement. We recently developed a similar B2C app for students: the Student Discount app.
