A Drupal web application, with the aim of exchanging foreign internship experiences by and for students.
How Dutch students experience a foreign university is unique compared to other students. Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) asked how students can share their experiences about foreign universities with each other.
We quickly came to the conclusion that a Drupal web application was the right tool for this. This allowed us to quickly set up a platform in which reviews were bundled and sorted. With Experience Abroad Students considering a minor abroad can orient themselves on countries, universities and atmosphere.
In order to obtain reviews of the foreign universities, we asked TU/e alumni to provide ratings. By means of an automated email explaining why providing a review is important, we quickly received responses from many students. The reviews are secure behind a VPN and are only available to fellow students and tutors. There is also the option to remove reviews when necessary.
Available everywhere and always
Students are often on the road. The chosen solution had to be flexible and mobile. For that reason, the responsive Drupal web application fits perfectly. The application can be accessed on mobile, tablet and laptop. For example, students can give and view reviews on the train.
For the students
An interactive world map with universities all over the world ensures that this application prepares students for their trip 'abroad'. The Drupal web application is developed by and for students. After all, students themselves know best what they find important at a university abroad.
The Drupal web application for TU Eindhoven brings students closer together. Our other apps do this for different target groups, and this is reflected in the figures.

Judgement
Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) is a top Dutch university. TU/e offers you excellent facilities and has many international contacts with leading universities. Studying at a foreign university for a while is also a possibility. The Experience Abroad application was a perfect assignment for Coffee IT.
