There is one hurdle that almost every student has to deal with: cleaning. Swabber offers the solution. This user-friendly app divides cleaning tasks fairly, keeps the schedule clear and ensures that everyone contributes to a clean student house!
Living in a student house is great, but everyone recognizes one big problem in every student house: Cleaning. Not every student has the discipline and/or the experience to clean properly. Paper schedules do not offer a sustainable solution, because they are not available everywhere and they have to be remade every so often. The dream is to make this easier.
Meet Swabber, the most honest and simple (cleaning) schedule app for student houses. Swabber divides cleaning tasks equally among the housemates and takes the past into account. Everyone contributes equally to keeping the student house clean. The goal of Swabber is to replace all paper cleaning schedules in all student houses.
A lot of feedback has been collected from users since the start of development. In each version, Coffee IT has responded to their users by bundling and processing feedback. Swabber is one of the first apps developed and invented by Coffee IT and for that reason it is possible to see the growth of Coffee IT in the growth of Swabber.
Prepared for the future
Swabber has been developed in such a way that it easily scales in real time with the number of users. This is important with a B2C app as the number of users of an app constantly fluctuates, for example due to a localized user base or growth. By developing the Swabber servers with scalability at their core, the system ensures that all our users can be served during peak times and the server can save costs during off-peak times by scaling down. This way the user always gets the best experience.
Market research showed that many students experienced the same problem. The demand for the timetable app was doubly confirmed when it was downloaded frequently from the app stores in a short period of time. And that is reflected in the figures!

Focused on the end user; This aspect is extra important for app makers such as Coffee IT and for the Swabber app. Swabber is a business to consumer app (B2C app) and with B2C apps the end user is also directly the customer. For this reason, many functionalities have also arisen from user feedback. An example of this is the option to schedule a task on a daily basis. Our users also thought it was important that the entire grid was more prominent, so we honored that. A comparable B2C app for students is the student discount app that we recently developed.
