There are no hard and fast rules for this. After development, the app will be published in the App Store or Google Play Store. It is important that the app continues to function properly. Operating systems such as iOS and Android regularly commit system updates. You want the app to continue to function properly, even after these updates. By performing timely maintenance, you ensure that the app is future-proof and works on the new generation of smartphones and tablets. More than half of the apps are updated about once every six months. Almost one third of the apps that are in the app stores, this happens monthly. One-tenth of the apps are updated once a year.

AppStore updates - This includes regular maintenance such as operating system updates. In addition, Google and Apple want an app to meet their new requirements with an update. On our website we give regularly a notification when the stores adjust their guidelines. When you update an app, the 'new' app must meet the guidelines. Think of screen size updates, security updates and design updates.
Data costs & content adjustments - Do you want to be able to adjust content in the app yourself? Think of text, video or users. Content is often sent to the app via its own server. The content is stored and sent by the server. Both cost money in the form of storage and bandwidth. You rent a server that meets the storage and bandwidth requirements for your app.
