WHICH APP GRANTS ARE THERE?

National Government for Entrepreneurial Netherlands

APP GRANT (SET)

Are you a provider of care or support and do you have an innovative concept for an app? Then the E-Health Home (SET) incentive scheme of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency may be something to appeal to. SET aims to improve the quality of life of the elderly and people at risk of disease. This fits well with our mission to translate complex problems into intuitive solutions for the benefit of the quality of life.

APP GRANT MIT

Another fund (or subsidy) that is interesting when developing an app is the MIT grant. This subsidy has been set up to encourage SMEs to innovate at a regional level. MIT stands for SME Innovation Stimulation Region and Top Sectors and focuses on SMEs that develop innovations within the Top Sectors. The government has formulated 25 missions that are in line with social challenges, social earning capacity and key technologies.

APP GRANTCOVID-19UPDATED

in connection with Covid-19 (corona pandemic), a special emergency regulation has been set up within the SET. This scheme is intended for care and welfare organizations that want to invest extra in digital care at a distance. Read more about the emergency regulation within the SET here. This extended SET includes digital applications intended for clients and their informal carers. The government has made a budget of 15 million euros available for 2021.

Is my service or practice eligible for a healthcare app solution with a subsidy?

Unfortunately, apart from providing independent advice, we cannot make any promises about the subsidies that are given from the SET. Due to the global pandemic, a budget of 2021 million has been made available for 15 for initiators who want to digitize healthcare. Do you have an idea for an app? My subsidy application for an app has been rejected, what now?

We are sorry that your application has been rejected. Perhaps certain matters were incompletely described in the grant application or deadlines were missed? If not, there are plenty of other ways to raise funding for an app. Think of (angel) investors, loans or a phased development process by first a MVP app development.
