PSV ceremony

During the PSV ceremony, Coffee IT MyBeam used to notify fans when the tribute shirt was available in the fan store.

Case

Before PSV's celebration took place in 2016, we had no idea it would even be there. PSV became champion quite unexpectedly and PSV fans were not sure whether the shirt would be available. With the help of MyBeam we have a beacon campaign rotated to notify fans when the shirt was available in the fan store.

MyBeam is a platform developed by Coffee IT for the former company of the same name. MyBeam uses iBeacons to determine, based on location, which advertisement is shown to the user at that moment.

A location-based campaign ensures that the intended target group receives the right data in the right location. This is easy to achieve using the MyBeam system developed by Coffee IT. The MyBeam system manages and controls beacon fleets. It is also possible to set messages dynamically in the MyBeam system beacon or beacon group. The app was released in the Mentos More campaign used to show the user the right ad when it was in the right place: for example in the supermarket. This way, the campaign came to the attention of the intended target group more actively and prominently.

iBeacon

You wouldn't know it from the name, but iBeacon is not only suitable for Apple products. The MyBeam platform that uses iBeacon can be used on any platform. iBeacon is in fact a collective name for all devices that (can) transmit a Bluetooth signal (Bluetooth Low Energy signal or BLE). The user's smartphone can accurately calculate the distance from the smartphone's location to the broadcasting Beacon. This allows the platform to receive the right notifications at exactly the right location when the user is near the relevant Beacon.

Beacon's campaign

A location-based campaign using iBeacon and MyBeam can be a very useful addition to, for example, an existing or ongoing campaign. This gives your target group access to relevant information at exactly the time and location when that information is useful.
