During the PSV celebration in 2016, Coffee IT deployed MyBeam to execute a location-based iBeacon campaign. This ensured that fans were informed when the tribute shirt was available in the fan store.
Before the PSV celebration took place in 2016, we didn't know it would even exist. PSV became champions quite unexpectedly and PSV fans weren't sure if the celebration shirt would be available.
Using MyBeam we were able to notify fans when the shirt was available in the fan store.
The MyBeam platform that uses iBeacon can be used on any platform. iBeacon is in fact a collective name for all devices that (can) transmit a Bluetooth signal (Bluetooth Low-Energy signal or BLE). The user's smartphone can accurately calculate the distance from the location of the smartphone to the transmitting Beacon. This allows the platform to receive the correct message at exactly the right location when the user is near the Beacon in question.

A location-based campaign ensures that the intended target group receives the right data in the right location. This is easy to achieve using the MyBeam system developed by Coffee IT. The MyBeam system manages and controls beacon fleets. It is also possible to set messages dynamically in the MyBeam system beacon or beacon group.
The app was launched in the Mentos More campaign used to show the user the right ad when it was in the right place: for example in the supermarket. This way, the campaign came to the attention of the intended target group more actively and prominently.
