You may be familiar with some online platforms such as Udemy en Skillshare. These are large platforms with a huge range of courses. The courses are used by both students and adults. According to it CBS 1 in 5 adults use a platform for online courses. During the lockdown, online courses have only become more popular.

It has huge potential to develop an educational app or platform for adults or students. You can offer all your courses on this and even collaborate with other entrepreneurs who can offer their courses on your platform.

An education platform for primary school is of course very different from a platform for MBO, HBO or university. Here we look at the possibilities of creating a school app for primary schools. 

An app for the classroom can help students with learning. And using apps or platforms at primary school is closer than you might think. I spoke to a teacher who supervises all her students in group 4 via the Chromebook. 

Learning platforms can be used in any group. For example, each group has its own exercises that match the math level or reading level. We have already briefly discussed this, but every student also has their own level. For example, children who have difficulty are guided with extra exercises and explanations, and the excellers are given more difficult assignments or move on to another assignment. 

Normally you should give equal attention to every child, both the excelling and the children who have more difficulty learning. Now every child gets the same amount of attention and there is still personal guidance. This also reduces the pressure on the teacher and that is also important since the workload in this sector is extremely high!

Educational apps that help you with history or advanced math, for example. There are already enough courses for this, but schools can also use this. Now that studying online after the corona measures is likely to continue, it is smart for a school to respond to this in advance. As a student you often have to travel far to go to school. For some students this is an hour and for others it is 3 hours (back and forth). If this is for a lecture, this can be quite demotivating. It is then ideal if you can also follow the lesson via an online platform.
