You already have an app that has already received feedback from your users. You have often been busy changing small functionalities, but know that it is now time for one app redesign. Coffee IT has experience with small and large-scale renovations within existing apps. In this article we discuss how we approach an app redesign.

(Re)inventory

It is important to start with the core. What are the needs of the user, have the needs of the user changed in recent years and will the needs of the user continue to change in the coming years? In this phase we look at the core of the product with an open vision. Then we will make an inventory of which techniques have been used in the current version of the app. After all, old techniques can be replaced by new techniques so that the user gets the optimal experience.

The flow

Then we will look at how we can bring out the most important functionalities for the user by completely redesigning the flow and optimally. The optimal flow is the starting point, but of course we also look at the old flow to find out whether a number of small changes can bring the current flow closer to the optimal flow.

App redesign

The 2.0 design

In this phase we start with a completely new design in which the wishes of the customer are taken into account. This design is made according to the latest Android and Apple guidelines. A prototype is made from the design so that the customer can already test the new design before a line of code has been written.

On the shovel

The app redesign development process will now start. We ensure that obsolete code is replaced and that the new design is implemented. We will do this as Agile as possible, by which we mean that we ensure that the app can be tested per screen that has been redeveloped. In this way we ensure that you will not be faced with unexpected surprises.
