Android O, what's new and is my app suitable?

It is now about half a year ago that Google released the latest version of Android, called Android N (Nougat). This version was finished a little earlier than expected. Google has not been idle in the meantime, because the first developer version of Android O was released a few days ago. Android N could just become Android 8.0, but Google has not always done so in the past. Like every previous version of Android, the new name of Android will again be a sweet treat. Android started in 2008 with Apple Pie for Android 1.0. The material design, as we are used to in Android, was implemented in 5.0 (Android Lollipop). So what will be the new name of Android O? Logically it will be Android Oreo, but Android Oatmeal Cookie is also still possible. Who knows, it will be Android Oliebol. As long as Google doesn't have an official announcement of the name, we don't know for sure yet.
