HOW WE WORK
As a back-end developer you work on various projects within different project teams. A project team often consists of a project manager, front-end engineers, back-end developers, a designer and a tester. After all, everyone has their own talents and expertise and we like to make use of them. In this way, everyone in the team is involved in achieving success.
Within the back-end team you join both the Hybrid and Native Units, depending on the ongoing projects. At the moment, more than 35 colleagues work at Coffee IT.
WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO
As a back-end developer you are part of (a) project team(s) from start to launch. You build and test our customers' APIs. In addition to programming, you also think along with the project to achieve a good result together with the entire team. In this position you get a lot of freedom to do your job well. You will work on new projects, but we also have longer-term projects that you will contribute to. You know how to deal with existing code. The back-end team consists of three other back-end developers and a tech lead.
- Supporting/guiding the junior API developers.
- Documenting the project and being accountable to the PM.
- Ensuring proper security of the APIs.
- Perform unit and integration testing.
- Knowledge sharing within the back-end team.
DO YOU RECOGNIZE YOURSELF IN THIS
Being analytical is one of your strengths. You have several years of experience in writing well-structured code and knowledge of architecture. You find complex projects interesting and you don't wait, but take independent steps to keep developing yourself.
- You have a HBO/WO working and thinking level
- You are driven, passionate and want to use your code skills to make an impact
- It is a plus if you have experience with AWS

We also work with a microservice architecture and RabbitMQ as a message broker. The services are tested via Gitlab CI (integration tests and code quality) and then built as a Docker image.
