The HTML definition

HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML). This is not really a programming language but a language that gives meaning to various parts of the website. This actually forms the frame or skeleton of the website or app. 

Some parts of HTML are used everywhere. When you open a word document and start with a title, it will be marked with HTML. Your first title is indicated in word as 'Heading 1', in HTML it says here Your title .
