The life of a student can be quite difficult, we at Coffee IT know that better than anyone. Each of us has been a student and Coffee IT was even founded during the owners' student days. Hard learning, a lot of entrepreneurship, little time and often even less liquid assets. That is the life of the student. To make it a little less difficult, we have now developed this React Native app in collaboration with Knaek. Discount at more than 1000 discount locations based on GPS and preferences and automatic cashback through an API system. Knaek is the perfect app for students.

Not only at Coffee IT do we love discounts, students join us en masse. The Knaek app is a great success with a reach of 1.7 million students and young people. We looked carefully at the reviews of the previous app, processed this feedback and improved the app. And you see that. A better flow, better user experience and fewer bugs or crashes.

Completely renewed app

Coffee IT has been asked to develop the new Knaek app. The first version of the app was developed by another developer and was an immediate success with a lot of potential, but the app itself still had some flaws. We have been brought in as a new developer for the improved app. We are the ideal party for the development of the renewed app due to our affinity and knowledge of the target group and our experience with similar app productions. A lot of feedback has been collected from the users. We have bundled this feedback and processed it into a powerful app with a new look: Knaek 2.0.

The Knaek app is a hybrid app. This has been developed so that the app has a wide reach, both for Apple users and for Android users. To make the app compatible with both the iOS and Android operating systems, the hybrid form was chosen. To give the app a native look, the app was built with the programming language React native. By using this hybrid programming language with native elements, the app has a nice flow and appearance and the app has a long lifespan because there is less maintenance and bugs.

Ready for 350.000 new users!

The Knaek app uses an offline database in which all locations are stored. This ensures that the app works quickly and takes load off the server. This is necessary, because Knaek issues approximately 350.000 student discount cards every year. A large number of users for the app! The offline database can easily facilitate these 350.000 users.
